our newest song and video is a response to the assertion that because an individual has only had positive experiences with cops, police encounters are largely positive. see below for more resources.
recent events inspired us to revisit this song from 2008 about ruby bridges. we’re continually inspired by her bravery at a time when the idea that black lives matter was not nearly as popular. brown v. board of education was decided before she was born! similarly, evil attitudes and policies from before her time still exist today. we recognize that those with privilege stood alongside her and her family, lifting them up that their value may be appreciated.
years ago we had the idea to create a rock opera about the matrix. we didn’t, but a couple of the songs were worth revisiting. we did.
this is the first one:
our cover of the who’s boris the spider is the background music for the trailer for the new chainsaw comics anthology.
also, we have a comic in the book! this is the first 100% tow knee chavez comic, with dr. stryker and the nemesis each contributing to the art and writing. you can buy the book on etsy or amazon, and you can still listen to or download the full version of the song here.
we just finished off a music video for “she’s a familiar face” from your favorite band. shot at guapo comics & coffee and around portland, most of the camera work was done by joey stryker, whose hair makes a guest appearance.
