our newest song and video is a response to the assertion that because an individual has only had positive experiences with cops, police encounters are largely positive. see below for more resources.
recent events inspired us to revisit this song from 2008 about ruby bridges. we’re continually inspired by her bravery at a time when the idea that black lives matter was not nearly as popular. brown v. board of education was decided before she was born! similarly, evil attitudes and policies from before her time still exist today. we recognize that those with privilege stood alongside her and her family, lifting them up that their value may be appreciated.
years ago we had the idea to create a rock opera about the matrix. we didn’t, but a couple of the songs were worth revisiting. we did.
this is the first one:
a curated selection of songs from 1998-2018. released on the 20th anniversary of our first show and concluding with two recordings from that show, rare singles collects our best non-album tracks released throughout the past two decades.
we found our old myspace on the new myspace and there are a lot of good songs stuck there. sure, we have copies of these songs elsewhere, but until we find them, click on tom:
remember to complain about the stupidest things so you forget about all the people that are actually suffering. here’s a new song to forget about all that too…51 seconds of pure sing along fun for the whole family!
update: this song is now on our record rare singles.
